With an expanding family the clients wanted to convert their basement into a multi-functional space. They wanted it to be a place for their kids to play, have a space to work from home in, and an area for crafting. So we cleaned up the ceiling and walls from all unnecessary nails, wires, splinters, etc. The mechanical systems were covered up but we added easily removable panels and doors for easy maintenance. We recessed and increased the lighting for more head room and a cleaner look. Finally we finished the space with five built-ins: a craft area, a desk, a coat rack with storage, a shoe rack, and another storage closet.
